WEEKLY PLANNED POWER SUPPLY OUTAGES IN LUSAKA DUE TO NETWORK EXPANSION WORKS
ZESCO Limited is rehabilitating, strengthening and expanding its transmission and distribution network in Lusaka to improve the quality of power supply and to increase new electricity connection capacity in Mtendere, Chainda, Kamanga, Ngwerere, Garden, Mandevu, John Howard and Chawama. The works being undertaken form the Last Mile component of the Lusaka Transmission, Distribution and Rehabilitation Project (LTDRP). The construction works under this project are scheduled to complete in June 2024. To safely carryout the works, power supply to the residential areas where the project is underway will be disrupted on specified days of the week. As a safety precaution, our customers and the public are urged to treat all power supply lines to be live at all times, as power supply could be restored before the stated time.
